Dr. Yoomee Kim

Dr. Kim was born and raised on the Pacific Island of Guam. At fourteen, she left her island home to attend Phillips Exeter Academy, one of the nation's oldest and prestigious prep school. Since then, she moved every four years from one major city to another. After completing her pre-dental courses, she decided to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and had the opportunity to participate in a creative writing round table with Scott Turrow while attending Northwestern University.

Dr. Kim continued on to New York City and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, currently known as Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She then completed a General Dentistry Residency at Montefiore Medical Center – Jacobi Hospital, where she gained much experience in general dentistry, dental trauma, and special needs care. 

Because of her love for working with children and especially for children with developmental disabilities, she furthered her dental education at the University of Southern California – Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles and completed her residency training to become a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. Today she is in private practice and also on staff at the Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite and Egelston campuses.

Dr. Kim loves traveling and has traveled to Romania, Honduras, Mexico, South Africa and Kenya on dental missions. In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys laughing through life with her husband and son. In her free time, she enjoys watching Netflix, going to concerts, reading, and spending time outdoors. Dr. Kim is Board Certified by the American Board and Pediatric Dentistry, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.

 

 
 
 
 

Dr. Amanda Malayter

Dr. Amanda Malayter grew up in northwest Indiana, outside of Chicago.  She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2002 where she double majored in Pre-professional Science  and Spanish.  She then attended Indiana University School of dentistry where she received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2006.  Upon graduation, Dr. Malayter decided to begin her career in Atlanta and has enjoyed the southern living and milder winters ever since.

Throughout her 16 years of practice, Dr. Malayter has realized her passion of treating children of all ages.  She prides herself on providing high quality dentistry with a gentle and upbeat chairside manner.  Dr. Malayter also enjoys giving back to her community and has done numerous charitable dental events by providing free dentistry to children in need in the Atlanta area and by leading classroom discussions on oral health. 

Dr. Malayter has recently relocated to Suwanee with her husband and two daughters.  She enjoys exploring parks with her girls, dancing, traveling, and baseball. 

Dr. Malayter is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society.  She is able to treat patients in both English and Spanish.
